The garden area is especially beautiful in the summer. During the fall you can arrange to have a fire and tables
for an outdoor picnic experience with students. Sack lunches can be stored in coolers on the bus until lunch.
There are limited restroom facilities indoors and no restrooms on the trails. Hikes can take as little as 30 minutes
and as much as two hours.
Indoor washrooms are heated with running water. It is a small area so groups will need to stagger use.
Trails can become very muddy and beesare a problem at times. Plan ahead for students with allergies. New benches and concrete areas provide workspace for students to bring clipboards and study guides for
documenting their nature exploration. Students can identify trees, leaves, birds and other animals in their natural habitats.
